Got a question?
Orua is currently a solo side project. Feel free to email about issues or feature ideas — I usually reply within 7 business days.
Is my data really not uploaded to the backend?01
Yes. Holdings / lots / net-worth history / category settings all live only on your iPhone. The backend only sees an anonymous device ID plus the symbols and markets you query. If you want to verify, capture the packets and inspect what's actually sent.
Is my data still there after reinstalling?02
If iCloud auto-sync is on, it restores automatically after reinstalling. Otherwise iOS is designed to clear local data when an app is deleted, so export regularly via Settings → Data Backup to iCloud Drive.
Can I sync to an iPad / another iPhone?03
Yes. In Settings → On-device Storage, turn on iCloud auto-sync to sync across devices via your own iCloud private container — still never through our backend. Manual export / import backups remain as another option.
Are the quotes accurate? How delayed?04
Stock quotes come from public sources like TWSE, Yahoo and Stooq, usually delayed 15–20 minutes (as required). Crypto comes from CoinGecko and Binance, nearly real time. Quotes are for record-keeping only — don't use them for trading decisions.
Why is pull-to-refresh throttled?05
To avoid overloading the free quote sources. By default, repeated pulls within 5 minutes respond from the local cache. You can adjust it in Settings → Currency & FX → Refresh throttle.
Is it paid? What are the free-tier limits?06
Full tracking, five categories and statistics are all free. The free tier caps the five categories at 5 items total and limits auto quote refresh. Premium ($1.99/mo, $11.99/yr with a 7-day trial, or $29.99 lifetime) unlocks unlimited items, auto quote refresh and live FX. New users can also try a free month with a promo code.
